Elsevier Innovation Team Project

With the arrival of a new CMO and a shift in team direction, the focus turned to fostering innovation and encouraging risk-taking within the office. Inspired by this initiative, I proposed an idea to my manager: a "RISK" card.

Each team member received a deck of five cards, serving as both a personal reminder to embrace bold ideas and a nudge to leadership to honor their commitment to fostering creativity. Collaborating with managers and a copywriter, we ensured the concept met company guidelines. To add structure, three key questions were printed on the back of each card, prompting thoughtful consideration before taking risks.

Copy on Cards:
1-What is the worst thing that could happen?

2-What is the best thing that could happen?

3-Can you live with the risk of the worst thing in hope of achieving the best thing?

At the bottom there were two quotes, one from an author and one from the CMO for encouragement.

"If you don't risk anything, you risk even more" -Erica Jones, Author and Educator
"Being afraid to make mistakes is the biggest mistake." -Jeff Sacks, CMO
